<sub>The clouds parted overhead, letting the brilliant sun beat down upon the ocean's blue waters. It was a few hours before the group of eight horses were set to depart. Their mission was to either get help from the East Island herd or compromise and join them. Matthew was unsure why he volunteered. All he knew was there was that feeling again when Cael and Kanu Eko had announced their plans, that same feeling he had when he unexpectedly left the Olde.

He stared out at the white caps, constantly overtaking one another as they neared the sandy shore line. On the horizon, the East Island was barely visible, just a mountain in the distance. "Not for long, though." Matthew thought to himself. He wasn't frightened about the journey, he'd crossed the ocean without problem before. Meeting the Bachelor's and trying to persuade them was the scarey part. When he crossed several months ago, he steered clear of that herd. In fact, he never saw any of them.

When he was young, his mother had warned him about the stallions of the Bachelor Herd. She had told him they were brutal and unwelcoming. Matthew didn't want to believe this, but if it was true, it was just another reason for him to wonder why he agreed to partake in this errand. But some part of his mind said go, and somehow the words "I'll volunteer" escaped him when Cael had asked for members to join them.

What was that feeling? Was it destiny or fate? Was it…the unicorns? No. He quickly threw away that idea. He didn’t really believe in the unicorns and, if they were real, they would have much better things to do than act in his dull life. He shook his head and snorted. Perhaps he’ll never know why. It was too late to back out now, though.

"Whatever the reason," he said aloud. "This is it."</sub>

Omgomgomg I'm so proud of this<3 My favorite part is the clouds and Mattew's face. But it wasn't my original idea. I was gonna have him farther back with some of the other group journeyers in the picture, but I just couldn't draw them right at all. BUT I STILL LIKE IT SO WHATEVS.
Anyhow, very proud of it. I would have NEVER EVER in a million YEARS attempted water, but today, I was like LET'S DO THIS SHIZ. And it came out pretty well I'd say.
