DotW RP: Myna joins Chandor

Myna had decided to enter Chandor territory several days ago, in hopes that she'd have a new home, but most of all, a new family. The family-like nature of this pack gave Myna a sense of nostalgia, reminding her of her birth pack. She was traveling around, staring up at the trees in awe, for they were taller than the trees in her old pack's territory when she came across Bareface Meridian, and was quite surprised to see that it was so bare, no trees at all, not even singed ones. That was when she caught a rather calming scent of a wolf or two in the distance. "I must be close to the main densite!", Myna became excited; she would have contact with wolves again for once! At least, with kind wolves. She started a brisk lope towards the scent of the other wolves, with a feeling of joy growing within her, making her feel all warm and squishy inside.

It wasn't every day that Lyn got to spend some time around the main den. She was usually patrolling the border, keeping up with the scent markers, or some other stressful alpha duty. But today, all of that had been done earlier so now she had time to spare. What would've been a relaxing afternoon now made Lyn feel..anxious. She had been go-go-go for so long she forgot what it felt like to just relax.

As she lay on the slanted boulder that created part of the roof to her den- the main den -she found herself growing uncomfortable. She tossed and turned, repositioning herself in unusual positions until she finally gave a sigh and got up. Lyn hopped off the boulder and looked around. Her hazel eyes scanned the area and it struck her how deserted it seemed. A few wolves, most likely sisters, scuttled around their dens, but for the most part, it was rather quiet. She frowned. It used to be so lively, but now there were fewer wolves and more responsibilities that needed to be upheld.

Myna was drawing close to the wolves, she could tell because the scents were getting stronger and stronger as she kept loping, she was so excited; she almost went into a full gallop. That's when she saw the Main Den, with the beautiful brown female standing near it. By the looks of it, it was the Alpha female. "He-Hello? I'm new here, I'm looking to join your pack, it seems like a nice family oriented pack...", Myna was quite nervous, the only Alphas she could talk to before were her parents from her birth pack. Maybe this one will be kind, she thought.

Lyn was about to go and busy herself with unnecessary patrols, but as she began to walk forward she stopped. An unfamiliar scent hit her nostrils and she looked about. Suddenly, from out of the brush a small brown and white shewolf emerged, low but hopeful. Lyn had never seen her before and she immediately took on an air of authority, raising her tail to a dominant position. It wasn't to frighten the young wolf, but just to show that Lyn was indeed in charge around here.

Lyn was a little startled herself; it wasn't normal for a wolf to be able to get this far into the territory without being stopped by someone first. But then again, there weren't many wolves in Chandor anymore. She might've guessed this would've happened sooner or later. She stepped toward the wolf, hearing her shy greeting.

"Hello." Lyn said, though it sounded almost like a question as well. "Yes, Chandor is more like a family than a pack. I suppose that's what you're looking for?"

"Why, y-yes, that is w-what I'm looking for.", Myna shyly responded. Now it was rather clear that this wolf was the Alpha, but she had an air of sincerity. She looked up at the shewolf and she gradually calmed down, her shyness starting to slip away for once, it was as if she were talking to her own mother, making her feel at home. "I noticed this pack isn't very large, are you looking for more members?", she didn't want to just try to barge in if they weren't accepting members, so she felt the need to ask.

Lyn lowered her tail some as she listened to the timid young female. Not many were drawn to the idea of a family rather than the pack, but those that were found a sincere home here. If this was what she was looking for, how could Lyn turn her away?

"We are actually." Lyn said, letting an ear fold back for a moment before perking forward again. "My name is Lyn, I'm the alpha here. What might your name be?"

"I'm Myna. I-I-i come from the southeast.", she grew a little nervous for a moment, for she had never gone through this before, but she tried to calm down and keep control. She was starting to like this wolf, she could see in her eyes the caring sincerity of her soul, she was an Alpha that took care of her pack.

"It's nice to meet you, Myna." Lyn said with a nod of her head. "Why don't you follow me and we'll discuss things further." She turned slightly, welcoming Myna toward her den. She would have to remember to tell the other guards to keep a closer eye out. Not that she didn't mind having wolves interested in joining coming around, but there were other dangers that could be getting through as well.
