Merdoc Reference

Omg what, what is this? A new canine character!? YES. And guess what! O: It's Isabau's dad! I've been working on this for about two weeks now, the original sketch was done on Sketchfu: [link]
I think I'm gonna update all of my characters ref sheets to look like this.
I don't know why, but I have a serious fetish for dogs with really big, spikey manes.. They just look so badass. Dx ANYWAY, up next is Isabau's mom.

Relations: Mate to Othilia, father to Isabau, Seth, Everette, and Klaus
Personality: Proud, determined, good leader, intelligent, firm, aggressive, kind, charming when in a good mood
Bio: Merdoc was born into a very large pack. He was the largest of his siblings and very dominant. When he was of age, he challenged his father for the position of alpha, but was not skilled enough to beat the experienced older male. He backed down and was driven out of his pack, left with many battle scars. He wandered alone for about a year, slowly gaining more strength, before stumbling upon another pack. Normally, he would've scouted out the pack, seen what the state of the alpha was in, and decided to either challenge or move on. But it wasn't the alpha that caught his eye this time..it was a young female. She was kind, playful, intelligent, and obedient. Perfect material for an alpha female. His alpha female. For several months, he stayed just out of range, always observing and watching them. One winter day, he decided that he would take his chance in wooing the female to run away with him, while avoiding the alpha's ever-watchful eyes. Every time he was away from her, Merdoc would sneak in and unleash his charm on the young female. Several more months passed, and eventually she agreed to be his mate, and they fled her pack, without goodbyes. They wandered aimlessly for a month, and soon found their new territory. They settled and focused on enlarging their pack. The female, named Othilia, soon gave birth to four healthy pups, thus beginning their new life together.
